BACK FROM ~~COHORT~~ MAKE A DIFFERENCE CAMP IN BATAM!

But sigh..

I miss batam super truckyfreakyloads! :(

Okay before you have any idea why i dreaded singapore now, let's have a look at all the awesome stuffs i did! XD

Day 1

Reached school before 7am (coz they said so) then took bus to Harbourfront Centre the Ferry Terminal.

Brian & Justin were laughing at those people who had to sing the national anthem and pledge coz we didn't had to do it for 4 days LOL.

Anyway we left earlier than the bintan group because the whole process of having to go from sg to batam was seriously long like first we had to go all the way to Harbourfront then go through lots of checkpoints then still have to wait for the ferry to arrive then even when we had to wait until everyone was on board then the journey was a freaking 1h thing i guess.

Hehehe actually it was kinda cool coz the whole thing was shaky but i felt like falling down anyway and I didn't realise the ferry had already taken off until I looked out of the window HAHAHA.

After that went to the Immigration place and headed to Harris Resort! :D

Left our bags&luggages at the lobby and gathered in the conference room first coz we couldn't check in first.

After that we had this welcome drink ceremony thing (see above :D) AND IT WAS REALLY NICE. :D

Went down to the cafe there for lunch then we headed to An Noor Orphanage (for my class) to view the situation there and decide on where we can improve the place. (:

It was kinda depressing coz like the conditions there was kinda bad and the weather was so freaking hot and their room was so stuffy.

But the kids are soooo cute! Especially the 10-months-old baby. :P

After that the guys started ploughing the area for the garden just outside the mosque while the girls started sweeping the playing area.

Luckily we didn't have to go to a hardware shop to buy stuffs coz we can just order the materials and they will send it over. :)

Went back to hotel to bathe but our room cards have problem so Aisyah went down to lobby to check.

Kinda sad that our was all the way at the end but it's alright coz it's so far behind no one would go check up on us de. >:)

Went down for dinner and had presentation & personal recount in the conference room before we retire back to our rooms which is to party duh hahaha.

I LOVE RITTERSPORT CHOCOLATE WITH CORNFLAKES. :D

That was Aisyah's night to treat us. ^^

Gwen came over the sleep with us and had htht but i got interrupted by fei coz he rung my room doorbell and got bo to talk with me LOL.

After that shared the sofa bed with Gwen then Erlia and Aisyah took the 2 other beds.

Day 2

Erlia's turn to treat us. XD

Woke up a lot of times and when i finally woke up at the right time (sort of) I saw Aisyah opening the curtains and it was already daybreak.

And I got a shock coz I thought it was already 7am (according to singapore lah) then Erlia told us it was only 6.20am. .__.

Coz I forgot that Indo is 1h later than S'pore (COZ OF GEOG'S INTERNATIONAL DATE LINE AND SOMETHING TO DO WITH PHYSICS ACCORDING TO MRS QUEK SINCE SHE TOLD US AND ASKED US IF WE FELT TREMENDOUS WHEN WE COULD 'GAIN' 1H BACK XD).

And after all that shock we couldn't get back to sleep so might as well get ready for the day.

Aisyah went to have her hot tub and we watched cartoons.

And idk why i was sooooo hyper coz i could get to watch cartoons early in the morning i kept screaming and singing like an idiot.

Hehehe sorry that you girls had to tahan my craziness. XP

Went down for breakfast at the Trendy Wing LOL then headed off to An Noor.

Hit my head on the door frame when I got off the bus. ><

And to think I laughed at Justin for hitting his head the day before. .__.

Continued working on the garden area when we reached there until the truck came with the materials.

The girls started mixing the cement and sand while the guys dug up holes to put the metal poles for the net.

I just wished I had those cranes or mixing machine or something so we don't have to do everything manually.

The mixing part was so freaking tidious not only do we have to mix 70 scoops of sand with 1-2 bags of cement we still have to do remove other random stuffs in the mixture simultaneously under the hot sun while bending down till my backbone can break anytime. .__.

And i had blisters as well. .__.

But it's alright I prefered labour to life in singapore OMG 100times more!

After that had packed lunch before continuing with our work.

The guys finished cutting metal poles and fixing them so they came over to help.

And we finally made a hole to fill water in! ^^

We wanted to try to mix together until Joni came and told us to stand back and watch the pro do their job. :P

And the way they did it was like how the people did with the ice cream at ICE CREAM CHEF! O:

And somehow part of the mixture wobbled like jelly when they mixed it.

Okay it DOESN'T MEAN THAT I WANT TO EAT THEM HORHH BRIAN CHIA. :D

After that the people came to do the brick layer-ing thing and we could slack so that means we went up to the provision shop uphill to buy drinks. :P

But kinda sad coz like we really really wanna help out with everything there but they went to do the layering and stuff so ya but after the first layer was done the girls decided to do the second one OURSELVES. :)

The most difficult thing was that we had to do it super fast coz once the cement is not very wet and soft already it'll be like very uneven and got a lot of cracks when you apply on the bricks.

Hahaha it's like putting cream on the cake like that lah. :P

Gwen and I tried to cover the corners so many times and when we finally did it we hi-fived with our palms first then with our tools! ^^

After that we had to leave already but the girls are soo hardworking (as usual) that everyone kept rushing us to stop work. :P

Realised how painful my back and legs were the moment i sat down in the bus.><

Slept on the way back and legs were a bit better.

Hahaha so much work done and all the fatigue i got on a special day~

Went up to bathe then had dinner then debrief blah everything and discussed with class on what performance to put up on the last night.

Finally Mateen had such a great idea we were so freaking thankful of him for being able to get back to sleep in our rooms.

No htht coz Erlia and Aisyah were so freaking tired already so Gwen and I watched Wizards of Waverly Place & Hannah Montana while i talked on the phone again. :P

After that went to sleep.

Day 3

My turn to treat!

Hahaha squandered quite a lot. ><

Woke up at 6.50am which is quite late then went down quite late for breakfast.

Took all the stuff like toothbrushes and toothpaste and shampoo+conditioner so we could give to the orphans. :D

After that we set off last to An Noor and we were quite sad because that was the last time we could see all the children! ><

Headed to a nursery first to get some plants for the garden but some of us slacked in the bus instead. :P

First thing when I reached An Noor was to check our 'masterpiece' at the garden. :D

But kinda disappointed because the cement wasn't very strong and there were already rubbles and cracks everywhere. :(

So we couldn't step on it while we took out huge rocks less we destroyed it. ><

Plus there wasn't anymore cement to cover up those cracks so we had to take extra care.

Scooped out all the sand piling at the wall of the mosque and found out that ALL the big rocks were hiding inside. -.-

After that Justin poured fertiliser inside and we poured sand in as well to mix together.

Mr Tan came to help as well HAHAHAHA.

Settled the plants into the garden area and removed the black plastic bags covering around the plants.

But some of the plants are kinda big so it's hard to remove the bags.

Even Shireen, Aisyah and I couldn't took it out, and Mr. Tan used the tools to make a hole then pulled it out. LOL.

After that we made holes to bury the plants in and covered it around with soil.

Then Brian smashed bricks to put around the plants (idk why) and watered it while some of us spammed more fertiliser around the plants. :D

Then alas gardening was done!

Hahaha. Gardening is rather a taxing job uhh.

But it was all worth it coz we're doing all these for the others. ^^

SUPER BIG SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT.

After that slacked slacked around and some asked the people there if there's any nursery rhyme they always sing there.

The song is 'My Garden' and i think the lyrics goes like this :

After that packed lunches came and then we played played with the orphans. :D

Then we like STALKED Faruq and Alfadri around and they were super cute in the provision shop!

At first we were like sprinkling water to them then the 2 boys started using those inflated weapons to fight with each other and they sprawled on the toy cars and fought!

Super cute maaanxxx XOXO.

AND AND AND AND I MADE ANOTHER FRIEND WOOOYEAH~!

Okay lah not really friend friend lah but NANI WAS DUPER DUDER FREAKING OMFG SUPERMANLY CUTE!

Coz at first we played ball with Eka, then Gwen came to write her name on the sand and I told her to draw a heart shape over it <3 then Eka saw it and destroyed it with the ball! ><

Ahhahaha nvm lah she's still cute lehh :D

After that Eka introduced us to NANI :D and Nani was I SWEAR TO GOD AND HEAVEN shy!

While Nani led the others to CLIMB TREES LIKE OMG! , IDK HOW BUT YA I DID IT WOOYEAH 3 CHEERS HI 5S FOR ME YO! I gave her a stick to draw on the sand then after that I SOMEHOW BUT YA I DID IT WAKAKAKAKA taught her how to play tic-tac-toe with the AWESOME help from my 2 laopos wooyeah we rock \m/ ANYWAY Nani decided to play the 7x7 style ttt which is AWESOME SEE SHE'S SO BRILLIANT SHE PICKS THINGS UP FAST! Then I taught Eka & Nani some basic handshakes SEE ANOTHER TREMENDOUS SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT! and we kept doing it until we had to go AWWWW:( then Erlia, Sharlyn, Jocelyn and I taught her how to write numbers BUT SHE ALREADY KNOW COZ SHE'S SMART YEAH SHE KNOWS ALL OF THEM FROM 1-100! AWESOMEY! And Nani taught us some names of the orphans there :D awhhhh~!

SEE WE TAUGHT EACH OTHER THINGS AND MADE A DIFFERENCEEEEE!

Okay then after that it was time to gooo how freaking crap is that i wanna throw explosive pies at the tires so we can stay longer >:]

Then said byebye and the children said they'll miss us like OMG!!! SUPER CUTE AND SAD SIAH!

Then i hug hug Eka and Nani and ONE LAST SUPER DUPER HANDSHAKE then ta-ta :(

Then the guy came to our bus with FARUQ AND ALFADRI!! to say FINAL BYEBYES to us and FARUQ CRIED OMG HEARTBREAK TTM! then I wanna cry as well :'(

AND THEN JOCELYN TEARED UP FIRST then I teared up when I was sleeping coz I felt tears around my eyes. ><

GOSH GOSH GOSH GOSH GOSH.

SEE I LOVE CHILDREN SO MUCH AFTER I WENT TO THE ORPHANAGEEEEE!

After that went to Nongsa Resort LIKE WTFFFFOMFFFFGEEGEEGEEGEEGEEE!!!

I THINK THEY WERE OUT TO MAKE US JEALOUS. >:[

The place there was like super super super duper uper luper buper POSH AND HIGH CLASS! 8O

AND IT WAS LIKE A WHITE HOUSE SIAH! ALL WHITE WHITE DE.

I wonder how they can keep it up with the cleanliness. .__.

THEN THEN THEN IT FACES THE BEACH WITH LOTS OF YACHTS OMG!

After that we waited for the mini buses to come fetch us to Kampong.

Kampong = MORE CHILDREN = MAKE ME MORE SAD!

When we reached there Erlia kept pointing "MONKEY MONKEY" and we were like "where?" but she was too busy making fun of Gwen she didn't tell us exactly where. .__.

After that the door opened and Mr. Arief got FREAKED OUT by this little kid that screamed non-stop and someone thought that kid was a monkey! O:

LOL LOL LOL.

After that we arrived with 3G and we went to this assembly place to watch the dance performance.

AND ERLIA GOT PICKED OUT TO DANCE HAHAHA!

Not bad not bad uhh can dance so well. ^^

After that we walked walked around the kampong and we were like SUPER ENVIOUS OF THE PEOPLE OKAY we all wanted to stay there like 1 week try try. XD

Then we watched another dance performance then headed to some place to BUY KEROPOK!

WOOYEAHHH.

MAD SPAMMAGE SIAH.

Everyone kept trying on the samples and munch munch munch!

Then I bought 3 packs. :D

And helped others bought that's why my bag so huge not like Erlia's she bought all for herself de. XD

Then my VERY FULL OF NONSENSE laopo go try on some random snack and IT WAS NOT EVEN COOKED! O:

Tsk tsk see anything then put inside mouth. :P

THEN JONI SAW ME AND ERLIA'S BAG AND SAID WE ARE OBASAN. -.-

Then idk why he said Erlia mamasan lah no link siah he. .__.

After that I started going hyper again HEHEHE.

back to the hotel.

Bathed, had dinner, then went to conference room to prepare for our performance. :)

At first kinda boring coz we were all struggling to learn the song and then had to memorise it, WHICH WAS KINDA FAIL AHEM AHEM.

And I CANNOT BELIEVED I KEPT SAYING PENUNGU INSTEAD OF KEBUNKU.

And Erlia told me the meaning of the word I kept saying. .__.

AND OFC I GOT FREAKED OUT LAH!

Like HELLO I said some word I don't even know and the meaning was so spooky! ><

Anyway after that the guys came in and we told the guys in our group about the song that they had to learn.

Then ZH kept wanting to do their lovely DOODAH thing so we decided to do that song first then do the malay one.

Then the guys were SO PREOCCUPIED on how we should perform the DOODAH thingy we kept laughing like idiots when CJ and Ben did all the nonsensical (AHEM AHEM JOCELYN) stuff coz they kept waving their arms AND THEY WERE SERIOUSLY SPASTIC JOKERS.

And I lost my voice in the process of having to shout coz everyone was making so much noises but IT'S ALRIGHT I LOVE IT WHEN WE BOND LIKE THIS HAHAHAHA but partly bonding only lah kinda sad though. ><

Then we practised on how we are gonna present it and we kept laughing and had a lot of NGs and finally when we did it it was kinda dumb and we were about to try for the second time until the 3C people opened the doors and everyone came in and we were like "OH CRAP NOW WE REGRET DOING IT." HAHAHA.

After that I had TONNES OF BUTTERFLIES FLUTTERING IN MY STOMACH coz i knew our performance was going to be a real spastic one.

But nvm kinda enjoyed it even though it lasted LESS THAN 3 MIN. And we were still dragging time siah!

And most of the classes sang "We Are The World" by Michael Jackson coz IT MADE LOTS OF SENSE WHEN WE HELPED OUT AT THE ORPHANAGE WOOYEAH SEE WE ROCK COZ WE MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE DARLINGS THERE. :D

Then Mr. Tan gave his emotional but SUPER DRAGGY speech; emotional because I felt like crying when he mentioned about the orphanage and so proud when he said WE ARE AWESOMEYYYY WHEN WE HELPED OUT, draggy because HE TALKED ALL THE FREAKING WAY UNTIL 9.20PM ><

PLUS STILL HAD REFLECTIONS AUGHHH AND BY THE TIME EVERYTHING WAS DONE IT WAS ALREADY 10PM OMFGGGG.

So sad right?

Cannot party party as in people cannot come in. :(

Anyway went down with Aisyah to buy instant noodles then had a little party then HTHT!

WOOYEAH.

But this time it wasn't BGR lurhh more of a bitching session. ><

Then after that Aisyah buay tahan already went to sleep then Gwen, Erlia and I continued talking like non-stop even when we're brushing and still continued on the 2 joined beds and when Gwen and I lied down Erlia scolded us to sit up or else will surely sleep one cannot talk liao HOHO.

After that we were like seriously tired lurhh it was already 1AM and then we lied down and NIGHTS NIGHTS. :)

Day 4

Woke up at urmmm what time uhh forgot hahaha 6.20AM again I guess?

Started washing up packing everything until like 7.20AM like that then took everything and went down to check out first.

After that had breakfast and then went up to conference room, hugged hugged the FDC people and headed off to Nongsa!

WE WENT TO THE BEACH AND YOU KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THE BEACH IT WAS SO MUCH 103890523753 TIMES CLEANER THAN SINGAPORE OMFG THE WATER FREAKING CLEAR SAND SUPER SOFT AND WHITE!

Then Erlia and I started picking seashells HEHEHE. :D

NOT DEPRIVED CHILDHOOD OKAY! THE SEASHELLS WERE SERIOUSLY PRETTAYYYE. :D

After that all the girls played tug-o-war which was SUPER FUN but I had rope burn and I kept falling into the sand and then we walked around barefooted and played this game where 3 people stand on 2 pieces of wood like skiing those kind then raceeeee.

And I kena cut by the strap. :(

After that we went down to the water AND THE CORALS WERE SUPER NICE I TOOK ONE HOME!!! XD

After that group photo but kinda sad coz my 2 laopo not with us. :(

Went to the washing area in the resort then ran up to the bus headed to the PAINTBALL PLACE WOOOHOOO!

It was like in the middle of the jungle and SUPER FUN! ;D

At first we had to solve all the weird weird alphabet puzzles which you have to think REALLY REALLY LAME and obviously the other group won coz CJ AND ALWYN WAS IN THERE!

Super crazy people with random brains that's why.

And what's more we were super distracted by the GIGANTIC BLACK HORNETS FLYING AROUND but Joni was SUPER PRO LIKE IMBA MASKMAN coz he used the paintball gun to shoot down the hornets. O:

And my armour WAS MORE LIKE SOME PYJAMA SIAH! O:

BUT STILL SO WHAT IF THEY HAD 5 EXTRA AMMO OUR GROUP STILL WON COZ GOT PRO TEAMWORK AND COOPERATION WITH GUYS : BRIAN, JUSTIN, WENG TUCK & ZHI HONG / GIRLS : GWEN, ERLIA, AISYAH & ME

Like the girls gave some ammo and the guys super freaking hardcore run here run there slide here slide there then Justin crawl crawl really like military siah. O:

Then I happened to look down and saw 1 unused ammo HAHAHA!

After that I tried to shoot people down but THE STUPID TREES BLOCK AND THEN SOME IDIOTS KEPT COMING TO OUR SIDE AND WE HAD TO GUARD FROM 2 SIDES VERY HARD SIAH!

But we did it! 8)

But the dumbest thing was that my GUN COULDN'T WORK so I had to stand up and WALKED to the guy and tell him but some idiot go shoot my finger FREAKING pain and my orangepaint-soaked finger go touch touch the gun SUPER OILY OMG GROSS GROSS then when I go clean my fingers I realised I was bleeding. O:

LIKE SUPER COOL SIAH 2 HOLES LIKE SOME VAMPIRE OR SNAKE BIT ME

I went to tell my parents that I got bitten by a snake. XD

hehehe.

After that went to a seafood restaurant for lunch and THE FOOD WAS SUPER FREAKING NICE NICE NICE!

Hahaha no one dared eat the Gong gong so I bo pian had to eat a lot even though it looked kinda gross but it tasted like squid. :P

Then Shireen and I were complaining that the only flaw they served was the freaking coconut drink coz it was SUPER BLAND RARRRR.

After that everyone was so afraid of the seafood eyes HAAHAH like HELLO THEY ARE DEAD THEY WON'T FLY UP TO YOUR FACE OR SOMETHING hahaha silly:P

After that changed to cohort camp tee and went to MEGAMALL WOOYEAH.

But kinda boring coz dunno what to buy then in the end bought ice cream BUT I SHOULD'VE BOUGHT THE CREPE RARXX and CARAMELITE! XD

After that headed to the Ferry Terminal and the water was SUPER CHOPPY I had seasick. :(

And sorry guys I kinda freaked you all out. ><

Then took 30 home~

SO SAD RIGHT?

RARRRS I MISSED BATAM.

NOT ONLY ME.

MY COUSIN, AND MANY OTHERS MISSED BATAM AS WELL HEHEHEE.

But one thing I'm sure is that,

I WILL NOT MISS JUSTIN'S SLAPPING. :/
